Mondli I am not Afrikaans, I have not only heard the lyrics, I have bought the CD. The words are about a Boerwar General and the English concentration camps. How you find struggle in there is beyond me, I suspect either someone has lied to you about the lyrics or you have your head in the sand.
Next what has changed for the Afrikaner, not much but as an Englishman I can tell you that after 14 years of Freedom and democracy racism is rampant. Because I am of the genus pale male, I am last on the list for any Government contracts, I am not on the list for BEE. I am tired of apartheid being blamed for the current state of the nation.
I am an erstwhile liberal who voted yes, laughed at the fears of the "Dutchmen" but now find myself sidelined, ignored and the victim of racism. I was of the generation that ended apartheid, I was of the generation that were largely unaware because the press you so whole heartedly support lied to us all in the name of the common good. I am of the generation when awareness set in decried apartheid and voted for change. I want you to be aware that the press today is once again practicing censorship for the common good. Research it, stop being superficial and really get dirty, Talk to my generation who stood up for your rights and find out why we are disillusioned.
We are sidelined, maligned and ignored. Then ask why the resurgence of White pride exists, Please note it is not Afrikaner Nationalism, White English speaking people, Portuguese, Greeks, Jews and more are saying enough is enough. We are no longer going to be victims, If you don't want to do business with us, we too will find and build our own networks. BEE and affirmative action can both be put to rest. Seriously this harms you more than you would believe. I know that every time I meet a black fella in businees that he is a token. Theres a white guy pulling his strings.
See I said it, You too are not employed on merit but are a token, I may be wrong but I cannot be disproved because you too have know way of knowing whether you were employed on merit or as a token. Would you not want it different, I know I would not want to be viewed with suspicion every time some one met me.
The boeremag lunatics are my enemy as much as the racist lunatics that keep trying to sideline me.
Regards
Guy McLaren
